Sweet Bread Balls/Bread Sweet/Paurutir misti

Hi friends,
My today’s recipe is sweet bread balls – a delicious sweet made of bread stuffed with raisins and khoya (milk solids). It is very tasty and quick and easy to prepare.

Cooking time – 30 minutes.    Serve – 4
Ingredients -
1.White bread slice – 8
2.Raisins – 2 tbsp.
3.Khoya – 200 grams.
4.Sugar – 4 tbsp. (powdered)
5.Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp.
6.Oil for deep frying.   7.Milk – 1 cup.                                                                                         And chopped pistachio for garnishing.
For sugar syrup – Sugar – 2 cups.     Water – 1 cup
Method -
Sugar syrup – Take sugar and water in a pan, mix well and let it bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 7-8 minutes. keep it aside.
Stuffing – In a non-stick frying pan, saute the khoya at low flame till smooth. Add cardamom powder, raisins and sugar. Mix well and saute for 3-4 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool.
Cut the borders of the bread slices.
.In bowl add milk, dip one bread slice for 1 second. Squeeze extra milk from the slice by pressing between palms without spoiling the shape of the slice.Fill 1 spoon khoya in the center of the slice. Cover from all the sides gently to make a ball, make sure the filling does not come out from the slice.
Repeat the process with the remaining slices.
Heat oil in a frying pan, when hot reduce heat. Deep fry the bread balls on medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
Remove the fried balls with a slotted spoon .
Warm the sugar syrup, Drop the bread balls into the syrup. After 10 minutes shift them in a plate, garnish with pistschio and serve as a dessert.
