Kaju Pakora..(Cashew Pakora) - A Tea time Snacks


Hello Friends and Family, :)

Hope you are enjoying your weekends!!.. What about having some snacks with tea in this lazy Sunday afternoon..Sounds great..Isn't??

So, my today's recipe is Kaju Pakora (Cashew Fries)..Its a fun recipe..A great evening snacks..and very easy and quick dish to make...



Lets quickly see The Ingredients and then the Procedure..

Cashew Pakora - A Tea time snacks

Preparation Time - 40 mins.
Serving Size  - 4

Ingredients                                        

                       1. Cashew nuts       -  250 gms                   

                       2. Besan [gram flour]-  1 cup 

                       3. Corn flour        -  1tabspoon             

                       4. Red chilli powder -  1/2 teaspoon          

                       5. Turmeric powder   -  1/4 teaspoon      

                       6. Baking soda       -  1/4 teaspoon         

                       7. Plain curd        -  1 tabspoon    

                       8. Oil[for batter]   -  1 tabspoon        

                       9. Oil for deep frying     

                      10. Salt to taste

                      11.  Peppercorn Powder [optional]
                                                                                                            
                                                                          
   Procedure -
                                                           
 1. Mix besan,corn flour,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt and curd in a large bowl.
        
 2. Then add water little by little while mixing it continuously to a smooth batter.Blend the mixture for 2 mins.
 3. Mix 1 tabspoon of oil and baking soda and rest the batter for 10 mins.
                  
 4. Heat oil in a frying pan.  

 5. Dip the nuts at a time in the batter so that it is completely coated with the batter.  

 6. Drop the cashew in hot oil one by one[the temp. of the oil should be medium] and fry them until  
      golden brown.

 7. Soak excess oil in paper towels. 

 Sprinkle  peppercorn powder and serve hot cashew pakora with sauce or ketchup.

Tilapia Fish Cutlet - A Easy Party Recipe


Hello Friends,

Today's Recipe is "Tilapia Cutlet". Its a very easy Party Recipe.Very tasty and easy to make.

 If you are a big fish fan,then you must try this recipe.

This is great for birthday parties, snacks,starter.


So Lets start our recipe....

Tilapia Fish Cutlet





Preparation Time : 30-40 minutes
Serving Size : 4

     INGREDIENTS :-

  1.                 Tilapia fillet  -   4   pieces
  2.                 Lemon   juice    -   2   tbspoon
  3.                 Peeper  powder   -   1/2 teaspoon
  4.                 Onion   paste    -   1/2 teaspoon
  5.                 Garlic  paste    -   1/4 teaspoon
  6.                 Ginger paste    -   1/4 teaspoon
  7.                 Garam Masala Powder   -   1/2 teaspoon
  8.                  Eggs             -   2   large
  9.                  Flour            -   1   cup
  10.                  Red chlli powder -   1/2 teaspoon
  11.                  Turmeric  powder -   1/4 teaspoon
  12.                  Bread crumbs     -  1.1/2cup
  13.                  Oil              -   for Deep Frying
  14.                  Salt to Taste

     METHODS   :-
         
  1. Wash fish fillet and put in a colander.
  2. Cut each fillet horizontally as thin as possible.
  3. Rub the  fillet with lemon juice,pepper powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.Let them rest for 30 mins.[This is the 1st. marination]
  4.  After 30 mins. again marinate the fillet with Onion,Ginger and Garlic paste.Keep aside for 20 mins.[This is the 2nd. marination]
  5.  In a bowl break 2 eggs and mix red chilli powder and a pinch of salt.
  6.  In a flat dish keep flour.
  7.  Keep the breadcrumbs in another flat dish.
  8.  Working with one fillet at a time. Coat both sides of fillet with flour,then shake off excess flour.
  9.  Dip the fillet into the egg mix. so that it is well coated with egg mixture.
  10.  Drop the fillet into bread crumbs.With your dry hand press both sides of the fillet in the bread crumbs and make sure that it is well coated both sides.
  11.  Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the fillet one by one until golden brown on both sides.(On medium heat).
  12.  Soak excess oil in paper towels.
Serve the hot cutlet with sauce or ketchup.


Healthy Way:

1) Conventional way to make Cutlet is to deep fry. If you want to make it healthy, You can do a shallow fry in a skillet with less oil.
2) Use refined vegetable oil.
3) Soak excess oil in paper towel before serving.
