Hello All !!,
My today's recipe is an Indian Desert. Its delicious and one of the main dishes of any Bengali birthdays.
Lets Start the recipe..
Shahi kheer / Payesh Recipe
Preparation Time: 40 minutes
Serving Size : 2
Ingredients -
1.Milk - 1liter.
2.Basmati rice- 4tabspoon
3.Sugar - 1/2 cup.
4.Cashew nuts - 10-12 (broken into pieces)
5.Raisins - 1 tabspoon.
6.Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
Method -
- Wash rice and soak in normal water for 1 hour.
- Drain water from rice and keep aside.
- Heat milk in a heavy-bottomed pan or fry pan.
- Bring milk to boil.Add rice and cashew nuts and stir.On medium heat cook for 12 to 15 mins (occasionally stir) until the rice is completely cooked.
- Add sugar and raisins and cook for 5 mins,stirring constantly.
- Remove pan from heat. Add cardamom powder and cover the pan with lid.
- Allow to cool naturally,keep in fridge.
- Serve cold as a dessert.

Please note that In video, the serving size is for 1 head. So every measurement is half of the measurement written in this article.
